Through my artwork, I strive to merge traditional and contemporary architecture, examining whether these two styles can coexist within communities undergoing the transformative processes of gentrification and urban planning. With a deliberate focus on areas marked by ruin and displacement, I employ digital collage, manipulation, and mirroring techniques as tools to narrate the stories of places that were once familiar and evoked nostalgia.
The immersive experience I aim to create within my work is achieved through vibrant colors and the depiction of grandiose buildings. By combining these elements, I invite. viewers to contemplate the dynamic relationship between architectural forms and the changes that occur within communities over time.
My art serves as a catalyst for critical discussions about the coexistence of different architectural styles, the preservation of history amidst transformation, and the impact of these changes on the overall identity of a place.
